The movement matters more than brand recognition
A small brand may not have a large service network, but the movement inside can still be a familiar NH, Miyota, ETA or Sellita caliber.
Case parts can be harder to source
Crowns, crystals, bezels and proprietary bracelets may be brand-specific even when the movement is common.
Tell us if the watch is modified
Hand clearance, stem length, dial feet, spacers and aftermarket components can create faults that are not inherent to the base movement.
Movement replacement can be a good option
For common NH or Miyota workhorse movements, replacement can sometimes restore a heavily damaged watch more economically than extensive component-level labor.
