Independent Seiko mail-in service

NH35 / NH36 repair.

NH35 and NH36 movements appear in a huge range of independent and microbrand watches. They are practical workhorse automatics and fit naturally into a broad mail-in repair operation.

Start with photos — screen the job before shipping
Physical inspection — final scope comes from the watch
Approval first — no surprise billable repair work

Not every NH movement lives in a Seiko watch

These calibers are widely used outside the Seiko brand. That makes the movement number more useful than the logo on the dial for repair intake.

Repair economics matter

Because complete replacement movements can be relatively accessible, some jobs make more financial sense as movement replacement while others justify service or targeted repair. The case, dial, hands and customer’s attachment to the watch all matter.

Common complaints

Stopped movement, rough or ineffective winding, poor rate, short reserve, date/day problems, stem damage and mod-related installation issues.

Useful intake information

If the watch is a custom build or mod, tell us. Hand clearance, stem length, casing, spacer and dial/hand fit can be relevant to diagnosing a watch that does not behave like a factory assembly.

How the mail-in process works

Submit the watch details and photos first. If the repair appears appropriate, we provide current shipping instructions. Final scope and price follow physical inspection, and billable repair work begins only after authorization under the service terms.
