NH35 and NH36 are common in microbrands and mods
These calibers are widely used outside the Seiko brand. The movement number is often more useful than the dial logo when identifying the repair.
Service or replacement depends on the watch
Because complete replacement movements can be relatively accessible, some jobs make more financial sense as movement replacement while others justify service or targeted repair. The case, dial, hands and customer’s attachment to the watch all matter.
Common complaints
Stopped movement, rough or ineffective winding, poor rate, short reserve, date/day problems, stem damage and mod-related installation issues.
What to tell us
If the watch is a custom build or mod, tell us. Hand clearance, stem length, casing, spacer and dial/hand fit can be relevant to diagnosing a watch that does not behave like a factory assembly.
