Questions before you ship

Watch repair FAQ.

Plain answers about what we repair, how estimates work, shipping, parts, approval and warranty.

Start with photos — screen the job before shipping
Physical inspection — final scope comes from the watch
Approval first — no surprise billable repair work
What kinds of watches do you repair?

We evaluate automatic, hand-wound mechanical, quartz, solar, Kinetic, vintage and many digital watches. Common brands include Seiko, Citizen, Bulova, Orient, Hamilton, Tissot, Movado, Timex, Casio, Fossil and many others.

Do you only repair Seiko?

No. Seiko has a particularly deep technical section because there is strong caliber-level knowledge available for useful content. The company itself is a broad independent watch-repair service.

Do you repair Rolex, Omega and other luxury watches?

Some conventional repairs can be reviewed case-by-case. Complex high-end movement work, heavily damaged pieces or repairs requiring restricted parts may be declined or referred rather than overstating the current repair scope.

Do I ship the watch before you respond?

No. Submit the online repair request first. We review the watch information and send current shipping instructions when the repair appears appropriate.

Can you give me a final quote from photos?

Photos support a preliminary review, but final pricing requires physical inspection. The same symptom can be caused by an adjustment, a worn component, water damage, a complete movement failure or something else entirely.

Will you repair the watch without my approval?

No billable repair work begins until you approve the written estimate, except any diagnostic fee that was clearly disclosed and authorized beforehand.

What if I decline the estimate?

The watch is returned without the proposed repair. Return shipping and any previously disclosed diagnostic fee remain due.

Do you repair inexpensive watches?

Yes, when the economics make sense. On common quartz or workhorse mechanical watches, movement replacement can sometimes be a better repair than a labor-intensive overhaul.

Do you use original manufacturer parts?

Parts depend on the watch, availability and the approved repair plan. We may use original, compatible, donor or complete replacement movements as appropriate. A materially non-original part or movement replacement is identified in the estimate rather than hidden.

Are you manufacturer authorized?

Manufacturer authorization is not implied. Watch Repair Anywhere is an independent repair service unless a specific authorization is explicitly stated.

How long will the repair take?

Turnaround varies with diagnosis, parts availability and complexity. We would rather give a useful job-specific estimate than publish one unrealistic turnaround promise for every watch.

Is shipping insured?

Inbound shipping is customer-arranged unless written repair instructions say otherwise. Use tracked service and insurance appropriate to the watch value. Return shipping method and cost are stated on the repair paperwork.

Do you guarantee water resistance?

No original factory rating is assumed after repair. Any water-resistance representation depends on case condition, seals and testing actually performed after service.

Do you repair smartwatches?

Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch and similar connected consumer electronics are not a core repair category. Conventional Casio, G-Shock and other quartz/digital watches can be evaluated depending on parts and the problem.
