Thin cases leave less room for error
A replacement movement, hand or battery must fit the original case height and clearances. A part that is technically similar is not necessarily correct in a very slim watch.
A dead Skagen may need more than a cell
If the correct fresh battery does not restore operation, the next checks include contacts, corrosion, the movement and whether the hands are binding.
Crystal shape matters
Many Skagen cases use model-specific crystal dimensions and profiles. Photos help us identify the likely replacement before the watch arrives.
Keep the repair simple when possible
If a common quartz movement can be replaced cleanly, that often gives better value than deep electronic component repair on an everyday watch.
What to send us
Include the model or reference if known, a clear front and caseback photo, the exact symptoms and any recent battery change, impact, moisture exposure or previous repair. Once we’ve reviewed it, we’ll email your prepaid, insured shipping label and packing instructions.
