Independent Seiko mail-in service

Seiko diver repair.

A Seiko diver combines a mechanical or quartz watch with a case system that has sealing, crown, bezel and crystal requirements. Movement repair and water resistance have to be considered together.

Start with photos — screen the job before shipping
Physical inspection — final scope comes from the watch
Approval first — no surprise billable repair work

A diver is more than the movement

Caseback gaskets, crown/tube condition, crystal gaskets and case damage all affect the watch’s ability to seal.

Modified divers need disclosure

Aftermarket crystals, crowns, bezels and movement conversions are common. Tell us what you know about modifications.

Water resistance must be tested

We do not promise an original factory rating merely because it is printed on the dial. Any post-service representation must follow actual testing and case condition.

Movement families vary

Classic divers may use 7S-series movements while newer models use 4R or 6R families. The reference and caseback help identify the correct path.

How the mail-in process works

Submit the watch details and photos first. If the repair appears appropriate, we provide current shipping instructions. Final scope and price follow physical inspection, and billable repair work begins only after authorization under the service terms.
