Independent Seiko mail-in service

Seiko crystal replacement.

A crystal is not just a circle of glass. Profile, gasket system, dimensions, tension rings, chapter-ring clearance and bezel/case construction can all affect fit.

OEM versus aftermarket

Some owners want the closest original replacement; others want sapphire or another upgrade. We evaluate fit, appearance and availability before recommending a path.

Cracked crystals should not wait forever

A compromised crystal can expose the dial and movement to dust or moisture. If the crystal is broken through, avoid unnecessary exposure.

Vintage acrylic is different

Acrylic crystals can often be polished when damage is superficial, while deeper cracks or poor fit call for replacement.

Water resistance is a test result

Replacing a crystal on a water-resistant watch does not automatically guarantee the original rating. Seals and case condition matter.

How the mail-in process works

Submit the watch details and photos first. If the repair appears appropriate, we provide current shipping instructions. Final scope and price follow physical inspection, and billable repair work begins only after authorization under the service terms.
