Independent Seiko mail-in service

Seiko 4R36 service.

The 4R36 is a modern Seiko automatic workhorse with manual winding, stop-seconds and day/date—an extremely common movement family for current Seiko owners.

Physical inspection — final scope comes from the watch
Approval first — no surprise billable repair work

When a 4R36 needs more than regulation

A large timing error may be regulation, but low amplitude, contamination, impact damage or wear can create similar symptoms. We diagnose the movement rather than selling an adjustment as a cure-all.

Common 4R36 repair requests

Watch stopped, poor reserve, large daily gain/loss, winding feels wrong, rotor/winding behavior is abnormal, day/date trouble, crown or stem damage and routine movement service.

Manual winding matters

Unlike the older 7S26 family, the 4R36 is designed for manual winding at the crown. A customer reporting that a 4R36 cannot be wound manually is therefore useful diagnostic information.

A repeatable movement family

Because 4R36 watches are common, they are well suited to a standardized mail-in workflow: identify the reference/caliber, document the symptoms, inspect the movement, quote the work and execute a repeatable QC process.

How the mail-in process works

Submit the watch details and photos first. If the repair appears appropriate, we provide current shipping instructions. Final scope and price follow physical inspection, and billable repair work begins only after authorization under the service terms.
